ICM Partners today announced it has named Dennis Ashley and Robert Gibbs, co-heads of the agency’s west coast urban music division, partners.
Since joining in 2006 Ashely and Gibbs have played a crucial role in the growth and success of ICM’s urban division. Their high-profile clients include J. Cole, Missy Elliott, Trey Songz, D’Angelo, PartyNextDoor, Jeremih, Jeezy, Nelly, Machine Gun Kelly. Most recently the duo brought in nine-time Grammy winner and “The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul” Mary J. Blige who signed with ICM earlier this month.

Ashely and Gibbs join seven others ICM agents from its New York and L.A. offices to be named partner: Jessica Lacy, head of international and independent film, publishing agent Alexandra Machinist, television literary agents Erik Horin, Dan Norton and Pete Stone, co-head of television production Sean Freidin and motion picture literary agent Doug Johnson.
ICM unveiled a new ownership structure in May of 2012 following its buyout from private equity which brought control of the firm to its agents and executives. In October of that year eleven additional partners were named.
