Sony/ATV has signed a worldwide co-publishing deal with songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Ian Fitchuk, the company announced Tuesday (March 10). The agreement cover Fitchuk’s future works.
“Ian is a world class producer, songwriter and human. We are beyond thrilled to welcome him to the Sony/ATV family and couldn’t be more excited to be part of his musical journey,” said Sony/ATV senior vp, A&R Amanda Hill in a statement.
Fitchuk has written and produced for artists including Maren Morris, Leon Bridges, Birdy, James Bay, Cam, Kesha, Brothers Osborne, Shania Twain, Shawn Mendes, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Amy Grant, Jake Bugg and Buddy Miller. He wrote several songs on Kacey Musgraves‘ 2018 album Golden Hour, including “Slow Burn” and “Lonely Weekend,” and shared a Grammy for Album of the Year for his efforts as a co-producer on the album.

In addition to his work with artists, Fitchuk has also composed for television, with credits including an ad for Google and several songs for ABC’s Nashville.
