Rising rapper Kyle reaches No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart (dated April 15) with his breakout hit “iSpy,” featuring Lil Yachty, hopping 4-1 in its 13th charting frame. It concurrently reaches a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100, jumping 12-5, aided by lifts in airplay and streams.
The track collects its highest weekly U.S. streams yet — 26.9 million, up 14 percent in the week ending March 30, according to Nielsen Music. Of its total, 32 percent of streams stem from Spotify plays. To date, the song has gathered over 212 million on-demand streams in the U.S.
An official music video for the song is expected to be released this week, while an animated lyric video on Kyle’s YouTube channel has amassed 19 million global views since it was released on March 6.
On-air, “iSpy” rises 20 percent across all monitored stations, to 34 million audience impressions in the tracking week ending April 2.
Meanwhile, Kyle also hops 58-56 (a new peak) on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, which measures artist popularity across all genres by blending album sales, track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media data.

The set simultaneously arrives at No. 2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The majority of its debut points (67 percent) come from traditional album sales, while 28 percent derive from streaming equivalent album units (SEA) and 5 percent from track equivalent album units (TEA). The entrance marks the singer’s 11th appearance on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and sixth arrival in the top two positions. His previous double EP project, Intermission l & ll, peaked at No. 6 in 2015. Before that,Trigga spent three weeks at No. 1 in 2014.
New Kendrick Lamar Tracks Debut: Kendrick Lamar takes the Hot Shot Debut on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, arriving at No. 11 with “The Heart Part 4.” The surprise track (released March 24) arrives with 15.4 million streams and 55,000 downloads sold —concurrently bowing at No. 1 on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart. It becomes Lamar’s highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100, where it bows at No. 22.
Meanwhile, another new track, “Humble,” concurrently debuts on two airplay charts; Rap Airplay (at No. 24) and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (No. 48). The song was released on March 30, along with a music video. It is expected to have a substantial debut on the April 22-dated charts, based on first week sales and streams, along with increased airplay.
“Humble” also launches at No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart, bumping “The Heart Part 4” out of the top slot (where it debuted a week earlier).
