Billboard 200 Chart Moves: Shawn Mendes and the Great EP Comeback

• Jeremih: The artist has his biggest Hot 100 hit since “Down On Me” peaked at No. 4 in April 2011  as “Don’t Tell ‘Em,” featuring YG, lifts 40-30. The song concurrently becomes his fourth top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with a 11-7 surge on that chart. The song borrows from Snap!’s 1992 hit “Rhythm Is a Dancer,” which peaked at No. 5 in early 1993.

• Coldplay: The band’s “A Sky Full of Stars” streaks into the Hot 100 top 40 (41-36) for the first time in 10 weeks. The song, which debuted at No. 28 on the chart dated May 17 and peaked at No. 10 two weeks later, made its initial chart surge due to download sales and is now rebounding following a progressive rise in radio airplay at multiple formats. “Stars” debuts on Mainstream Top 40 at No. 36 and Adult Contemporary at No. 26, climbs 8-7 on Alternative Songs and inches up 8-7 on Adult Top 40. The Avicii co-produced track also holds at No. 6 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs.

• Echosmith: The act gets to be like the “Cool Kids” as it reaches the upper half of the Hot 100. The track, available for purchase since July 2013, has sold 80% of its overall 232,000 downloads in just the last six weeks, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
