Less than a month before his debut hits shelves (or iShelves), Hoodie Allen has a treat for fans: a new song and music video.

On Monday night, the New York-based rapper released “Dumb for You” as a free download for those who pre-ordered his debut album, People Keep Talking.

The bonus track, however, wasn’t Allen’s only surprise. Less than 24 hours after the song premiered on iTunes, he posted the song’s accompanying music video on YouTube. Filmed entirely on a stretch of highway, the video features the rapper hitchhiking and ending up in a series of awkward car rides — at one point, he even jumps out of a moving car. In just one day, the video has garnered more than 130,000 views.

With the song and video’s one-two punch, “Dumb for You” triggered enough Twitter response to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140. “Dumb” is Allen’s second consecutive track to top the chart, after previous single “Movie” reached No. 1 over four straight days from Aug. 27 to Aug. 31.

Within a few hours of releasing “Dumb,” the song topped the iTunes Hip-Hop chart and was in the top five overall.

People Keep Talking is set for release on Oct. 14. The full-length follows two EPs, All American and Americoustic, which peaked at Nos. 10 and 28 on the Billboard 200, respectively.
