The track is Halsey’s first Pop Songs No. 1 on her own, following two collaborative leaders: The Chainsmokers’ “Closer,” featuring Halsey, reigned for 11 weeks beginning in October 2016 and “Him & I,” with G-Eazy, led for two weeks in March 2018.
Concurrently, “Eastside,” by Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid, holds at its No. 4 Pop Songs high. The song is one of Halsey’s six career top 10s on the tally (including her three No. 1s).
Plus, as “Without Me” is a Capitol Records release, the label boasts three of the last six Pop Songs No. 1s. 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Youngblood” led for five weeks beginning in October and Marshmello and Bastille’s “Happier” ruled for four frames starting in November.
The Pop Songs chart measures total weekly plays, as tabulated by Nielsen Music, among its reporting panel of 167 mainstream top 40 stations.
On the all-genre, streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Billboard Hot 100 chart, “Without Me” has spent two (nonconsecutive) weeks at No. 1, marking Halsey’s second leader, after “Closer” (12 weeks, 2016).
Next up for Halsey, she’s scheduled to be the host and musical performer on NBC’s Saturday Night Live Feb. 9.
All charts will update tomorrow (Jan. 29) on Billboard.com.
