Green Day is on course for its third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, according to industry forecasters, with its latest release, "Revolution Radio."

Green Day is on course for its third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, according to industry forecasters. Revolution Radio, the rock band’s latest album, could launch atop next week’s chart with over 80,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 13. The album was released on Oct. 7 through Reprise/Warner Bros. Records.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Oct. 29-dated Billboard 200 chart — where Green Day will likely enter at No. 1 — is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Oct. 16.
Green Day previously led the Billboard 200 with 21st Century Breakdown in 2009 and American Idiot in 2004. Revolution Radio will also mark the act’s 10th top 10 album, stretching back to its breakthrough set Dookie, which peaked at No. 2 in 1995.
Other albums heading for a high debut on the Billboard 200 include Norah Jones’ Day Break and OneRepublic’s Oh My My. Both are aiming to launch with around 35,000 to 40,000 units.
