Gracenote Partners With Muzooka to Include Artist Images in Music Metadata

Gracenote is now adding photos to its music metadata, thanks to a new partnership with Muzooka.

Gracenote is now adding photos to its music metadata, thanks to a new partnership with Muzooka. The companies announced the arrangement on Wednesday (Feb. 27), meaning artists and their teams will now have more control over how they appear on various entertainment services.

Gracenote is the world’s leading provider of music metadata. The information the Nielsen-owned company provides about artists and tracks helps fans search for and discover music across popular consumer platforms, consumer electronics devices and automotive systems.

Now, with Muzooka delivering artist assets to Gracenote, when artists and their teams update photos on the Muzooka platform those images will become available for Gracenote to include with the rest of its metadata content.
