Gimme Radio Launches Country Platform With Brandy Clark, Lee Ann Womack as DJs
The service aims to play music ignored by mainstream country radio and digital music streaming services. It will showcase a range of music selected by fans and artist DJs.

Gimme Radio launched their Gimme Country platform earlier today (May 15). The new music platform is designed to serve the underrepresented country fan with the help of country artist djs including Lee Ann Womack and Brandy Clark, as well as Joshua Hedley.
The service aims to play music ignored by mainstream country radio and digital music streaming services. It will showcase a range of music selected by fans and artist DJs.
“Growing up, my dad was radio DJ so I was surrounded by all kinds of music — everything from traditional country to blues to rock & roll,” Womack says in a statement. “Gimme Country is the perfect place for me to showcase the range of my musical tastes and play my favorite classics and new favorites all in the same show.”
Hedley will debut the first episode his new radio show, “The Grand Tour,” on the platform on May 15 at 1 p.m. ET. Upcoming shows will include artists sharing tales from the road as well as their love of country music. Newcomer Dillon Carmichael, guitar player Jesse Dayton, singer-songwriter Laura Cantrell, alt-country artist Chuck Prophet, Country Music Hall of Fame writer and editor Michael McCall, and many others will be introduced to Gimme Radio’s country platform.
Gimme Country is available at gimmecountry.com and has mobile apps for both iOS and Android. The company launched its first music community in 2017, which focused on the metal genre.
