Gabriela Martinez Promoted at Warner Music Latin America

In addition to her expanded marketing duties throughout the Latin region, Martinez will also continue as general manager for Warner Music Latina, Warner's U.S. Latin label.

Longtime Warner executive Gabriela Martinez was upped from vp to svp of marketing, Warner Music Latin America. In addition to her expanded marketing duties throughout the Latin region, Martinez will also continue as general manager for Warner Music Latina, Warner’s U.S. Latin label. Martinez remains based in Miami and reporting to Iñigo Zabala, president Warner Music Latin America & Iberia.

Martinez’s promotion comes in the heels of her inclusion in Billboard’s Women in Music list of honorees.

“Gaby is a tireless artist champion, with creative vision and impeccable business instincts” said Zabala.  “I am delighted to see her take this much deserved next step, as an integral part of our senior management team.”

Born in Mexico, Martinez has held multiple positions in Warner, beginning as label manager for Warner Music Mexico in 1990. Today, she is one of the few women who holds a senior management position in Latin music.

Martinez’s unique, dual role allows her to craft deals in the U.S. and abroad, and to develop marketing campaigns, artist collaborations and brand partnerships that cross many borders, in addition to launching new talent and building existing careers. In the past few years Martinez has been instrumental in the development of acts like Jesse & Joy, Pablo Alborán and Sie7e in addition to expanding the footprint of major acts like Maná and Alejandro Sanz, among many others.
