for King & Country Scores 10th No. 1 on Christian AC Airplay Chart

Plus, fellow brother duo Dawkins & Dawkins lead Gospel Airplay.

for King & Country, the duo of brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, notches its 10th No. 1 on Billboard‘s Christian AC Airplay chart as “For God Is With Us” tops the list dated June 18. The song gained by 2% in plays in the week ending June 12, according to Luminate.

The pair co-penned the track with Josh Kerr and Jordan Reynolds. It’s from for King & Country’s LP What Are We Waiting For?, which opened as its second No. 1 on Top Christian Albums in March. On the all-genre Billboard 200, the set entered at No. 7, awarding the act its second top 10.


The album’s lead single “Relate” ruled Christian AC Airplay for four frames starting last December. It also led Christian Airplay for three weeks, becoming the act’s 10th leader, and became its first No. 1 (among 18 top 10s) on the multi-metric Hot Christian Songs chart.

for King & Country first topped Christian AC Airplay with “Shoulders” in June 2015. Now with 10 leaders, the tandem ties Third Day for the fourth-most since the chart launched in June 2003. MercyMe leads with 18, followed by Casting Crowns (13) and Jeremy Camp (12).

“For God Is With Us” concurrently holds at its No. 3 high on Christian Airplay with 9.8 million impressions (up 4%). Katy Nichole controls the survey for an eighth frame, the chart’s longest command so far this decade, with her debut hit “In Jesus Name (God of Possible)” (9.8 million in audience).

‘Here’ Is the New No. 1 A fellow sibling act, Dawkins & Dawkins, achieves its first Gospel Airplay No. 1 with “Come by Here” (up 12% in plays).

The duo reigns in its second visit, after “Get Down” reached No. 20 in 2011.

Dawkins & Dawkins comprises brothers Anson and Eric Dawkins, who hail from Youngstown, Ohio. “Come by Here” is from their album Never Gets Old Faith & Favor, Vol. 2, released last July.
