The Dave Grohl-led band now has 26 top 10s since the list’s 1988 inception, breaking out of a tie with Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Foo Fighters first reached the top 10 with their debut entry, “This Is a Call,” which peaked at No. 2 in August 1995.
Of the band’s top 10s, 10 have hit No. 1, most recently “Something From Nothing” for eight weeks in 2014.

“War” has already hit the top 10 at the other two charted rock radio formats, peaking so far at No. 4 on Adult Alternative Airplay and No. 8 on Mainstream Rock Airplay. The song has tied the band for the second-most top 10s in the latter chart’s nearly 40-year history, with Shinedown; Tom Petty (solo and with the Heartbreakers) leads with 28.
On the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock Airplay chart, “War” holds at its No. 4 high, up 11% to 5 million impressions, according to MRC Data. It also spends a third week atop the multi-metric Hot Hard Rock Songs tally.
The song is the latest single from Medicine at Midnight, Foo Fighters’ 10th studio set which debuted at No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums, Alternative Albums and Hard Rock Albums charts dated Feb. 20 and has earned 105,000 equivalent album units to date.
