Five Finger Death Punch becomes one of just eight acts with at least 10 No. 1s on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart over the list’s nearly 40-year history, as “Living the Dream” jumps 3-1 on the tally dated Feb. 6.

The band arrived on the chart in August 2007 with “The Bleeding,” which became its first of 25 top 10s to date. The rockers first ruled with “Coming Down,” their ninth top 10, in September 2012.

“Dream” is also Five Finger Death Punch’s sixth straight No. 1, dating to “Sham Pain” in September 2018. The group is the second act with such a streak, following Disturbed, which earned seven in a row in August 2015-September 2019, followed by the No. 3-peaking “Hold On to Memories” in April 2020.

Not only does “Dream” lift Five Finger Death Punch into an elite group of acts with 10 or more Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1s, it also ties the band for the fifth-most leaders in the chart’s history.

Concurrently, “Dream” rises 16-15 on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock Airplay chart with 2.6 million audience impressions, up 8%, according to MRC Data. It also returns to its No. 6 high on the airplay-, sales- and streaming-based Hot Hard Rock Songs survey, having garnered 413,000 U.S. streams in the tracking week.

The song is the third single, and third Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1, from F8, the Ivan Moody-led band’s eighth studio album, following “Inside Out” (four weeks at No. 1 in February-March 2020) and “A Little Bit Off” (four, July 2020). F8 debuted at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Albums chart last March and has earned 265,000 equivalent album units to date.
