Femme It Forward Series Reveals 2020 Programming With Acts Including Brandy and Monica
Femme It Forward has announced its first slate of 2020 events and a host of partnerships with female business owners.

Femme It Forward has announced its first slate of 2020 events and a host of partnerships with female business owners. Following a successful launch in 2019 and partnership with Live Nation, the series will welcome performers Brandy, Monica, Xscape, Lil Kim, Keyshia Cole and many more to its concerts.
The new wave of events includes concerts, festivals and discussions with women in front of and behind the scenes of the music industry.
“The launch of Femme It Forward exceeded any expectations that we had as an organization, the amount of love and support from our community was powerful,” said Femme It Forward president Heather Lowery in a release. “Recruiting a team of powerhouses going into this new decade was a priority of mine and as a female CEO, I’m incredibly passionate about working with other like-minded women to further celebrate the depth, talent and power we possess in this industry.”
Shows will feature sets from additional artists such as Rapsody, Tinashe, SWV, Trina, Deborah Cox, Jade Novah, Kiana Lede, The BonFyre, Alex Mali, Melanie Fiona, Lil Mo, Tweet, Brooke Valentine, Teedra Moses, Sunshine Anderson, 702, Amerie and Sevyn Streeter. Even more artists are expected to be announced.
“Women have always played a pivotal role in the entertainment industry, whether we’re behind the scenes or center stage; but it’s rare that those stories make it to the forefront,” said Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil’ Kim in a release. “Femme It Forward is a game-changer! I’m excited and appreciative to be a part of this major movement.”
This year’s events will include International Women’s Day Celebration at the Fillmore in Maryland on March 7, Love Language concert at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on April 30, Funk Fest in Atlanta in May and more.
New partners joining Femme It Forward include female CEOs and industry power houses including Tina Farris Tours’ Tina Farris, MTW Live’s Diana Dotel, Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group’s Lou Taylor, LaPolt Law’s Dina LaPolt, and DPR’s Carleen Donovan with more to be announced.
