— Francisco Arenas joined Billboard & The Hollywood Reporter as SVP Licensing & Business Development. In his new role, Francisco and his team will focus on building new global franchise models and monetization strategies such as branding products at retail and collaborations with lifestyle brands for Billboard/THR.
— Pandora’s former senior director of artist partnerships Matt Ostrower joined Artists Den Entertainment in the newly created position of head of partnerships. Ostrower will focus on developing the artist strategy, identifying new growth opportunities, and building creative advertising solutions.
— John Fleckenstein has been named executive vice president at RCA Records, where he’ll oversee the marketing and video production departments. Fleckenstein was previously Sony Music’s evp of International marketing.
— Danielle Malito Aguirre was promoted to general counsel and senior vice president, business affairs, at the National Music Publishers’ Association, rising from her position as svp, litigation and business affairs. She will oversee all of NMPA’s legal, business and policy objectives.
— Ailie Birchfield joined Universal Music Group Nashville as director of media marketing, overseeing press and publicity outreach for artists including Brothers Osborne, Eric Church, and Kacey Musgraves. Birchfield previously held a position at Slate PR in Los Angeles, where her clients included Jude Law and Neil Patrick Harris.
— Colleen Bailey was named the managing director of Monterey Jazz Festival. Bailey previously served as executive director of the National Steinbeck Center.
— Veteran music managers Dan Dalton and Julius Garcia joined Career Artist Management‘s team. The firm also announced the signing of The Voice runner-up Matt McAndrew for representation.
— Alan Schanzer joined Pandora as senior vice president of agency and advertiser development, while Tracy Zamot joined as director of artist and music industry communication.
— Reservoir named songwriter/producer Hussain ‘Spek’ Yoosuf as svp, creative and A&R for the company.
— Marc Cimino joined Universal Music Publishing Group as COO. He previously served as executive vp/head of business and legal affairs at Warner Bros. Records.
