Executive Turntable: Moves at Columbia Records, Warner/Chappell Music & Monument Records
A list of moves and shakes across the music business, including at Columbia Records, Warner/Chappell Music and Monument Records.

Columbia Records announced the appointments of Jennifer Citron and Mary Madden to vp, touring and events Tuesday (Nov. 20). Both will report to Ryan Ruden, svp, experiential marketing and business development.
“Jennifer and Mary have proven to be innovative leaders in the tour marketing and live event sectors,” said Ruden. “I am excited for them to co-lead new initiatives and strategy around live that drive fan engagement and bring value to our artists. The entire company joins me in congratulating them on their well-deserved promotions.”
Citron and Madden bring plenty of experience to the new position: the former most recently worked as senior director of touring and events for the label, while the latter was named director of touring and events for Columbia Records in 2016 and has worked within the Sony family/labels for her entire career.
“I’m grateful to Ron Perry, Stephen Russo, Jenifer Mallory, and Ryan Ruden for the opportunity to contribute to this exciting chapter of Columbia Records,” stated Citron. “I look forward to cultivating event-based marketing efforts while continuing our focus on touring and artist development strategies that deliver success stories for our artists.”
“I’m very grateful to Ron Perry, Stephen Russo, Jenifer Mallory, and Ryan Ruden for this opportunity and continued support,” added Madden. “I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the most inspiring artists at Columbia Records and I look forward to continuing to serve them in the live and event marketing arenas.”
Mary Nuñez has been appointed vp, sync – Latin at Warner/Chappell Music, it was announced Monday (Nov. 19). She is based in Miami and will report to Gustavo Menendez, president, Warner/Chappell Music, Latin America.
Prior to taking on the newly created role, Nuñez worked at Sony Music for more than a decade, leading music licensing and creative services for the Latin Iberia region. Now, in support of the company’s sync efforts in the U.S. market, she will also be part of Warner/Chappell’s U.S. sync team run by Ron Broitman, evp, head of synchronization.
“We created this role to help us to better serve the extraordinary demand for Latin music — and no one is more adept, or more familiar with the opportunities for songwriters, than Mary,” said Menendez. “A seasoned sales and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in U.S., Latin, and European markets, Mary has established relationships with key brands and entertainment properties that will prove beneficial as we strategically expand on our sync efforts.”
“It’s an honor to join Warner/Chappell, a place that many of today’s best Latin songwriters and producers — like Eduardo Cabra, Andres Torres, and Mauricio Rengifo, call home,” added Nuñez. “The company is ripe with talent, and the possibilities are endless. I’m excited to work with a global team of fellow music lovers, and to partner with songwriters to ramp up their presence in advertising campaigns, television series, films, video games, and more.”
