— Hannah Dudley has joined Sony Music Nashville as director of marketing. She worked for EMI in London for five years in 2008, before joining Warner Music UK as part of its Parlophone Label Group acquisition in 2013. Dudley was then head of digital & strategic marketing across Warner’s East West Records/Rhino/Label Services divisions and since November last year has run her own consultancy Dream Big Entertainment Group.
— Gareth Smith has been named director of A&R of Sub Pop‘s publishing roster. He previously served as worldwide vp, film & TV at Big Deal Music in Los Angeles.
— StubHub has appointed Rich Holtzman as the head of music business development on the partnerships and business development team. He will be based in Los Angeles. He most recently served as an artist manager for Red Light Management.
— Chris York has been named senior director of A&R for Capitol Records‘ CMG in Nashville. He will continue to oversee A&R for label signing Striking Matches and Judah & the Lion. His previously served as A&R director for CMG’s I.R.S. Nashville.
— Universal Music Group (UMG) has named Mike Harris as chief operating officer. His previous experience includes 15 years with EMI Label Services and six years with Sony.
— Alice Beal has joined Insanity Records as label manager. She previously served as marketing manager at Universal’s Virgin EMI Records. Beal has worked on campaigns for artists such as Banks, Ella Eyre and Martin Garrix.
— Atlas Music Publishing has appointed Phil Cialdella to chief operating officer. He previously served as svp, administration and licensing at Cherry Lane Publishing, where he served for 11 years until setting up his own company, Wonderlous Music.
— Simon Barnabas has joined Universal Music UK as managing director of its UMTV division. He previously served 16 years at Sony Music, most recently as marketing director. Barnabas is best known for steering the marketing for Michael Jackson projects since 2002.
— Paula Woollatt has joined PledgeMusic in London as head of manufacturing and fulfillment for UK/Europe. She was previously at Warner Music Group, where she held several production positions, most recently as head of creative production for Atlantic, Parlophone, Warner Bros, Rhino and Global Catalogue.
— Richard Manners is departing from Warner/Chappell UK and his position as md, after serving the company for 17 years. During his time he signed and worked with artists such as Muse, Radiohead and Royal Blood.
