Erasure enters at No. 7 on Billboard‘s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart (dated Sept. 5) with The Neon, earning the veteran British duo its eighth top 10.
The set starts with 3,000 equivalent album units, mostly from album sales, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Erasure is now tied for fourth place among duos or groups for the most top 10s since the chart’s June 2001 inception, matching The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk. They trail only The Happy Boys (12), Thievery Corporation (11) and Pet Shop Boys (nine). Among all acts, Tiesto leads with 18 top 10s.
Erasure first hit U.S. charts in 1986 and boasts 20 top 10s, including two No. 1s, on the Dance Club Songs survey.
Across the pond, The Neon launches at No. 4 on The Official UK Albums chart.
