The hip-hop trio has nearly doubled the run, adding three new cities and two encore shows. As Tablo, Mithra, and DJ Tukutz told Billboard first, the aim of the trek was to “hit as many cities as possible.” The group’s making good on that promise, hitting cities like Seattle and Atlanta that are usually excluded during tours for Korean acts. The group also told us they hope to release new music “sometime this year,” giving fans hope they may hear some new tunes during the show.
The dates are the band’s first North American trek in nearly six and the largest headlining American tour for K-pop acts since Wonder Girls‘ 20-date run in 2010. It follows Epik High’s extremely buzzy SXSW 2015 performances and their Shoebox album hitting No. 1 on Billboard‘s World Albums chart in late 2014. Tablo also recently returned to the Billboard charts via Jinusean’s “Tell Me One More Time” featuring Jang Hanna, which he co-produced, that hit No. 9 on World Digital Songs on the tally dated May 2, 2015.
Tickets for the previously announced shows are currently on sale via Siva Group. The newly announced dates (Vancouver’s June 1 date, Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta and New York’s June 13 date) go on sale on May 6, 12:00pm local time. Promoting company Siva adds that the guys will participate in one-hour meet and greets with fans that include a handshake and photograph.
