Epic Records Appoints John Kirkpatrick Senior VP Brand Marketing, Michelle Belcher VP Epic Film & TV

Epic Records has appointed John Kirkpatrick to senior vp brand marketing and Michelle Belcher to vp of the newly launched Epic Film & TV, the company announced Monday.

Epic Records has appointed John Kirkpatrick to senior vp brand marketing and Michelle Belcher to vp of the newly launched Epic Film & TV, the label announced Monday (April 8). Both will be based in the label’s Los Angeles office. 

In Kirkpatrick’s new role, he will faciliate collaborations between label artists and brands, timing them strategically to new songs, album releases and tours. The marketing executive will also launch partnerships between acts and businesses across multiple verticals including fashion, lifestyle, tech and home. 

Kirkpatrick previously served as chief marketing officer at The VOID, an immersive entertainment and location-based experience company. Prior to that, he worked at Hard Rock International and served as chief music and marketing officer for Hot Topic. The executive also spent a decade in high-ranking positions at Paramount Pictures and Elektra Records.

Belcher comes to Epic from Sony Sync Shop. Before that, she served in executive positions at Primary Wave Music and previously worked at BMG Music Publishing, Arista Records and Columbia Records. Belcher also has extensive experience working with film music, serving as music supervisor on Academy Award-nominated movies, District 9 and The Resident. 

At Epic Records, Belcher will leverage her experiences in film and television music to head her department and launch high-profile soundtracks, while securing licensing opportunities for Epic Records artists.
