New year, new you, new EDC.
Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella hopped on Facebook to let fans know about his big plans for the Electric Daisy Carnival brand in 2018. He first announced a new logo coming to celebrate Insomniac’s 25th anniversary, plus a brand spankin’ new website to help launch the real excitement – EDC Japan and China.
Sure, Japan happened last year, but this year will represent the company’s first step into the exploding Chinese market. Rotella also teased that a few more international dates would be added to upcoming Inomniac events, so stay tuned there.
Rotella also announced all-new stage designs for EDC Las Vegas. Prepare your eyeballs for a sensory explosion when kineticFIELD, circuitGROUNDS, neonGARDEN, bassPOD, and quantumVALLEY all get futuristic revamps. Add to that the pre-announced new campsite, and it’s shaping up to be unlike any EDC Vegas headliners have ever known.
He also took a moment to plug the company’s warehouse venue in Los Angeles. It’s called the Academy, and it just opened with a set from Krewella on Friday, Jan. 12.
