Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shivers’ Heats Up Atop the Adult Pop Airplay Chart

Sheeran passes Shawn Mendes for the most No. 1 on the list among solo male artists.

Ed Sheeran scores his seventh leader on Billboard‘s Adult Pop Airplay radio chart as “Shivers” rises to No. 1 on the list dated Feb. 5. With the coronation, Sheeran surpasses Shawn Mendes for the most career No. 1s among solo males over the chart’s 25-year history.

Among all acts, Sheeran trails only Maroon 5 (15 No. 1s), P!nk (10), Katy Perry and Taylor Swift (eight each).

After Sheeran, Mendes is tied with Adele, whose sixth Adult Pop Airplay No. 1, “Easy on Me,” is succeeded by “Shivers” after 10 weeks at the summit.
