Ed Sheeran earns his second No. 1 debut on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart, as “How Would You Feel (Paen),” the third offering from his forthcoming third studio album ÷ (or Divide), opens atop the chart.
Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks (which began in June 2014) is a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S., ranked by the volume of shares over a seven-day period. The latest chart, dated March 4, reflects activity in the week ending Feb. 19.
The track follows the current Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Shape of You,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Top Tracks chart dated Jan. 21. Sheeran’s other single, “Castle on the Hill,” opened on the Top Tracks chart at No. 2, directly behind “Shape.”
Sheeran released “How Would You Feel (Paen)” on Feb. 16 after announcing the song’s release on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. ÷ is slated to be released on March 3.
With the new song release and his Grammy Awards performance of “Shape of You” on Feb. 12, Sheeran’s Twitter mentions grew 67 percent to 192,000 for the week ending Feb. 19, according to Next Big Sound. The gain also helps him jump 19-7 on the Social 50 chart.
Just below Sheeran on the Top Tracks chart, Lana Del Rey scores her seventh top 10 hit, as “Love” arrives at No. 3.
The singer released the track on Feb. 18 through Interscope Records — her first single in two years. “Love” is Del Rey’s best-charting song on Top Tracks since 2015, when “Music to Watch Boys To” reached No. 2.
Meanwhile, DJ Khaled earns his third top 10 entry on Top Tracks with the help of Beyoncé and Jay Z, as his latest single “Shining” debuts at No. 10. Khaled released the track exclusively on Tidal moments after the Grammy Awards concluded on Feb. 12.
The track will be featured on Khaled’s upcoming tenth studio album Grateful and also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 62 (chart dated March 4).
Finally, former Voice contestant Christina Grimmie debuts posthumously on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart for the first time at No. 25 with “Invisible.” Grimmie’s family released the upbeat track on Feb. 17 after announcing that the song would be the lead single off her upcoming EP Side B, due out in March.
