TMZ reports that the family of Gaye's co-writer on the track, Ed Townsend, is pursuing legal action against Sheeran for lifting the the melody, harmony and rhythm from "Let's Get It On" for his own song.
This is the second such accusation against Sheehan of the summer, after the English star was accused of stealing pieces of his smash single "Photograph" in June.

Gaye died in 1984 and Townsend passed away in 2003.
Sheehan's rep did not respond to a request for comment.
