Upon release, “My Love” blasted to No. 2 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140, blocked only by the rapper’s own “Energy.”
Drizzy premiered “Love” during an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, in which the Canadian MC revealed his involvement on upcoming projects from British rapper Skepta and Majid Jordan. He also announced his OVO Sound radio show, premiering Saturday night.
The rapper briefly touched on his highly anticipated Views from the 6 album, saying he’s “working” on it and that teaming with producer 40 is “the best possible thing I can do for any project.”
Notably, Drake also hinted about his unexpected release, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in February. Speaking about the OVO Radio surprise, the rapper told Lowe, “You know that’s how we do things. I don’t send the album to the label so they can tell me which songs they like and which songs they don’t. I just put it out, man, and they hear it when everybody else hears it.”
