Drake Celebrates With Champagne After Breaking Hot 100 Chart Record: Watch

Drake is pouring himself a few after etching his name in the history books.

Drake is pouring himself a few after etching his name in the history books, again.

The Canadian hip-hop star popped the cork on some bubbly, just hours after Billboard confirmed he’d made his 208th appearance on the Hot 100, with “Oprah’s Bank Account.”

With that effort, Drake passes the Glee Cast (with 207 titles) as the act with most career titles on the singles chart.

Champagne Papi was true to his name in a video posted on his Instagram Story, and tagging Billboard.

It’s not the first time Drizzy has set a new benchmark. On the release of his Scorpion double set in 2018, Drake swamped the Billboard 100 like no one else, helping send 27 tracks into the chart in a single week (including 25 from the album), a record that stands to this day.

Scorpion was the first album to cross the one billion mark in total streams, an effort that helped Drake to the IFPI Global Recording Artist of 2018. He previously won the honor in 2016, becoming the first two-time champ.

Drake has knocked the biggest names off the block. In 2018, he surpassed the Beatles’ record for most songs simultaneously landed in the Hot 100 Top 10 (seven versus five), and last year, he beat the Fab Four once more, by landing 12 Top 10 tracks in a single year, beating the Beatles’ record of 11 set in 1964.

Drink up, Drake.
