Drake Dominates Apple Music’s Year-End Music Charts in Canada

Apple Music has named its top songs and albums of the year in Canada and — surprise, surprise — Toronto’s own Drake dominates the rankings, while taking the crown as the service’s international artist of the year.

Elsewhere on Apple Music’s Best Music of 2018 rankings, Juice WRLD is declared breakout artist of the year; Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J. Balvin have the song of the year with “I Like It;” and Kacey MusgravesGolden Hour receives the album of the year honor.

Apple Music doesn’t give out streaming numbers, but offered year-end positions based on number of plays in Canada for its localized chart rankings. On the streaming service’s Canada’s Top 10 Best of 2018 Songs Chart, Drake appears four times, while Loud Luxury also brings some additional countryman pride to the list.
