Downtown Promotes Lisa Hauptman to Global Head of People
On Tuesday (July 17), Lisa Hauptman was promoted to the newly created role of global head of people at Downtown.

Tuesday (July 17), Lisa Hauptman was promoted to the newly created role of global head of people at Downtown. In her new role, she will report to Downtown COO Andrew Bergman.
Hauptman, who joined the Downtown in 2015 as executive director of operations, will continue to oversee recruitment, while also spearheading initiatives focused on talent development. Her promotion coincides with the expansion of the company, which has grown from 44 to 110 full-time employees worldwide across its international offices. She will also be responsible for leading Downtown’s internship program, which aims to teach students about the global songwriting and music rights management industry.
“Lisa is extremely passionate about our company and the team. She has and will continue to play a critical role in the company’s talent development and recruitment,” Bergman said in a statement. “She has also become a crucial component of the management team due to her experience in developing executive talent and her tremendous instincts for people.”
Also joining the people team will be Travis Cowan as talent acquisition and retention specialist and Nina Lampcov as human resources coordinator. Both will report to Hauptman.
