DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki,” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna and Cardi B, debuts atop the Hot Latin Songs chart (dated Oct. 13) as the song arrives at No. 1. It’s the first leader for DJ Snake, Gomez and Cardi B and the second for Ozuna.
“Taki” debuts in the penthouse mainly on the strength of streams and digital sales. It earned 17.7 million U.S. streams, in the week ending Oct. 4, according to Nielsen Music, marking its No. 29 debut on the overall Streaming Songs chart, and No. 1 on Latin Streaming Songs. It likewise bows at No. 4 on the Digital Song Sales chart and No. 1 on the Latin Digital Song Sales tally, logging 23,000 in digital sales.
“Taki” pushes “Te Bote” down 1-2. The track — by Casper Magico, Nio Garcia, Darell, Nicky Jam, Ozuna and Bad Bunny — has spent 14 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1. With “Taki”‘s debut at No. 1, Ozuna replaces himself atop the list, as he’s also credited on “Te Bote.”
Earlier in 2018, Nicky Jam bumped himself from the top, when his collaboration with J Balvin on “X” returned to No. 1 for a second week (July 14), pushing “Te Bote” out of the No. 1 slot.
“Taki” also launches at No. 2 on Hot Dance/ Electronic Songs and No. 27 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.
Further down Hot Latin Songs, another collaboration secures a spot in the top 10 as Marc Anthony, Will Smith and Bad Bunny’s “Está Rico” debuts at No. 5. Streams fuels the song’s debut, collecting 6 million U.S. streams.
The song earns Marc Anthony, who last visited the top 10 in 2016, his 26th top 10. Meanwhile, Smith scores his first, and Bunny his ninth. (Smith previously got very close to the top 10, when “Fiesta [Remix],” his collaboration with Bomba Estereo, debuted and peaked at No. 11 on Oct. 24, 2015.)
