• Entertainment One Distribution has signed earMUSIC, the label arm of the Edel Group, to a U.S. distribution deal and the label is already readying six titles for release, including a Deep Purple live album. The move will allow the label to “develop” its own presence in the U.S., according to earMUSIC GM Max Vaccarro. “In a market where some of the best companies operate, we feel strong with having met a partner like eOne to share this ambition with,” he added.

eOne Music vp of metal Scott Givens said that the deal is “another example of eOne’s ongoing commitment to the rock and metal genres.”

According to the announcement, domestic label management for earMUSIC will be provided by the U.S. team of international promotion and marketing firm International Solutions, headed by Elias Chios in New York.

In addition to Deep Purple, other earMUSIC titles will come from artists and bands like Angra, SOTO, Thunder, Ash and Gamma Ray over the next three months.
