Florida rapper Denzel Curry debuts at No. 7 on Billboard‘s Emerging Artists chart (dated Aug. 11), as his third studio album, Ta1300, becomes his first charting LP, opening at No. 13 on Top Rap Albums and No. 27 on the Billboard 200 with 17,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.

The set follows 2016’s Imperial and 2013’s Nostalgic 64 and features guests GoldLink and Billie Eilish, the latter of who ruled Emerging Artists a week ago and dips to No. 5 this week.

The Emerging Artists chart ranks the most popular developing artists of the week, using the same formula as the all-encompassing Billboard Artist 100, which measures artist activity across multiple Billboard charts, including the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard 200 and the Social 50. (The Artist 100 lists the most popular acts, overall, of the week.) However, the Emerging Artists chart excludes acts that have notched a top 25 entry on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200, as well as artists that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard‘s “Hot” song genre charts and/or consumption-based “Top” album genre rankings.

Atop Emerging Artists, Queen Naija returns for a second week at No. 1, as her self-titled EP starts at No. 2 on Top R&B Albums and No. 26 on the Billboard 200 with 18,000 units. She concurrently sports two tracks on the Hot 100: “Medicine,” at No. 54 (after reaching No. 45 in April), and “Karma,” which re-enters at No. 98 (after spending a prior week on the chart at No. 63 in July).

Elsewhere in the Emerging Artists chart’s top five, NCT leaps 29-2, as the K-pop act zooms 9-2 on the Social 50; Lauv dips 2-3; and Louis Tomlinson drops 3-4.

Plus, Bryant Myers bows at No. 20 on Emerging Artists, as his debut LP La Oscuridad opens at No. 4 on Top Latin Albums, and English singer/songwriter Rex Orange County bows at No. 31 on Emerging Artists, as his 2017 sophomore set Apricot Princess enters Top Album Sales at No. 60 with 2,000 copies sold.
