“At peermusic we have always been known to work with songwriters of the highest quality in each genre,” Bagué said in an official statement. “De La Ghetto is a consummate wordsmith who brings an amazing singing voice and a unique vision to the Latin urban market. Having been one of the pioneers of the reggaetón genre, whether it’s trap or latin pop, he has always been on the cutting edge. I am proud and honored to begin working with Geezy and to welcome him to the peermusic family.”
Born Rafael Castillo, the Puerto Rican artist counts with a remarkable trajectory of over 15 years. He kicked off his career in 2004 as part of the reggaeton duo Arcangel & De La Ghetto before embarking as a soloist in 2006. Throughout his career, De La Geezy, as he’s also called, has collaborated with artists such as J Balvin, Ozuna, and Daddy Yankee, to name a few.
