Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs. David Guetta‘s “Complicated,” featuring Kiiara, climbs 2-1 on Billboard‘s Dance Club Songs chart (dated Dec. 30). The song marks Guetta’s 11th chart-topper, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s third and Kiiara’s first.

The song also holds at its No. 22 peak on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, up 6 percent to 2,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music. It has been aided by remixes from R3hab, Robin Schulz and Bassjackers, among others. 


The rise to No. 1 marks a return to form for Guetta, whose last leader on Dance Club Songs came as a featured artist on Rihanna’s “Right Now” in August 2013. He nearly hit No. 1 earlier this year, as his “2U,” featuring Justin Bieber, reached No. 2 on the chart dated Sept. 16.

“Complicated” is Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s second No. 1 on Dance Club Songs in 2017, following “Hey Baby” (vs Diplo and featuring Deb’s Daughter) on the chart dated April 29. They first hit No. 1 in 2016 with “Higher Place,” featuring Ne-Yo.

The act is the seventh to score multiple No. 1s on Dance Club Songs this year. Rihanna has tallied five; Dua Lipa has scored three; and Austin Mahone, Katy Perry, LeAnn Rimes and Tony Moran have also notched two apiece.

Marshmello’s Milestone: On the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart, Marshmello‘s “Silence,” featuring Khalid, earns its 15th week at No. 1, as the song tallied 18 million total U.S. streams in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music.

“Silence” is just the sixth song to reach the 15-week milestone. PSY’s “Gangnam Style” holds the record with 39 weeks at No. 1, followed by The Chainsmokers’ “Closer,” featuring Halsey (30 weeks); Major Lazer and DJ Snake’s “Lean On,”featuring MO (27); Ariana Grande’s “Break Free,” featuring Zedd (21); and DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” (21).

Tukker’s Top 10: Finally, Sofi Tukker scores their first top 10 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, as “Best Friend,” featuring NERVO, The Knocks and Alisa Ueno, surges 21-8. The track earns The Knocks and Ueno their first top 10 trips and NERVO its second, following 2014’s “Revolution,” with R3HAB and Ummet Ozcan.

The song leaps 24 percent to 12 million audience impressions.
