DannyLux hits No. 1 on Billboard‘s Latin Songwriters chart (dated Oct. 2), leading for the first time thanks to his work on Eslabon Armado’s “Jugaste y Sufrí,” on which he’s featured.
The single holds at its No. 8 high on the Hot Latin Songs chart, largely powered by its streaming sum: 6.2 million U.S. streams in the latest tracking week, ending Sept. 23, according to MRC Data. The song has been particularly active across TikTok, as it’s been used in over 76,000 clips to date, according to the app.
DannyLux (real name: Daniel Balderrama) is the only credited writer on “Jugaste y Sufrí,” helping boost his chart points on Latin Songwriters. Notably, he’s just the fifth artist to hit No. 1 on the ranking in 2021 so far. Here’s a recap:

The weekly Latin Songwriters and Latin Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot Latin Songs chart. As with Billboard’s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
