Daddy Yankee’s ‘Con Calma’ Featuring Snow Hits No. 1 On the Hot Latin Songs Chart
Daddy Yankee's "Con Calma," featuring Snow, jumps to the top of Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart (dated May 4).

Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma,” featuring Snow, jumps to the top of Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs chart (dated May 4) in its 13th week with a 2-1 bump. The track becomes Yankee’s sixth No. 1 on the list, which blends airplay, digital sales and streaming data. It’s the first No. 1 for Snow, in his first visit to the chart.
“Con Calma” crowns the chart thanks largely to its increase in streams and sales after its Katy Perry-assisted remix was released April 19. The song logged 12 million U.S. streams in the week ending April 25, according to Nielsen Music (up 20% from prior frame), and also jumps 4-1 on Latin Streaming Songs for a second total week at the summit.
Meanwhile, the song re-enters the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart at No. 11 on registering 13,000 downloads sold, a whopping 388% boost. The big gain places “Con Calma” atop the Latin Digital Song Sales tally (3-1) for a fourth week in charge.
The track reworks Snow’s 1993 seven-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1, “Informer.”
“I never imagined that after 25 years of my career I would continue to enjoy being No. 1, the most privileged position in the industry,” Daddy Yankee tells Billboard.
“Thanks to Daddy Yankee and [co-producers] Play-N-Skillz for giving ‘Informer’ a fresh new life,” adds Snow. “And, thanks to the Spanish-language community.”
Before “Con Calma,” Daddy Yankee last led Hot Latin Songs through his collaboration with Luis Fonsi, “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber, which first hit No. 1 over two years ago (Feb. 2017) and claimed a record total of 56 weeks on top. In between, Yankee earned his highest ranking on the list with “Dura,” the seventh single of his forthcoming seventh studio album, which peaked at No. 2 (March 2018).
In addition to sales and streams, “Con Calma” maintains its steady lead on the Latin Pop Songs airplay chart, reigning for a fifth week.
Madonna’s Best: Madonna and Maluma’s “Medellin” zooms up Hot Latin Songs with a 34-18 burst following its first full tracking week, after the Spanish/English-language track was released April 17. It’s Madonna’s highest rank ever on Hot Latin Songs, surpassing the No. 21 peak of “You’ll See” in 1996. (Back in 1996, the Hot Latin Songs chart was an airplay-only tally, and “You’ll See” was also recorded in an all-Spanish version by Madonna, titled “Verás.”)
“Medellín” traces its large jump to 273% iincrease in streams after the song’s official music video premiered on April 24, as it drew 3 million in U.S. clicks.
In addition to Maluma’s gain with “Medellín,” he debuts two new songs on Hot Latin Songs: “La Respuesta” with Becky G at No. 13 and “Vivir Bailando” with Silvestre Dangond at No. 47. In total, he places four entries on the chart, including “HP” (No. 9), the second single from his upcoming fourth studio album 11:11.
