Daddy Yankee earns his first new top 10 hit of the year on the Hot Latin Songs chart with his latest single “Dura,” as it lifts 13-8 on the chart (dated Feb. 10). The track, from his upcoming studio album El Disco Duro, earns the Greatest Gainer/Airplay trophy in its second frame, collecting 6.8 million in audience impressions (up 168 percent) in the week ending Feb. 4, according to Nielsen Music.

However, the song is powered mostly by streams: up 90 percent to 5.5 million, climbing 23-7 on Latin Streaming Songs. The streaming activity is mostly driven by plays of the track on YouTube, likely owed to the popularity of its colorful video (which has already claimed more than 100 million global views on the network). The video was released on Jan. 18.

“Dura” holds its No. 2 position on the Latin Digital Songs Sales chart despite a decline in downloads from its previous week (down 18 percent to 7,000) in the week ending Feb. 1.

Notably, in the past two years, Daddy Yankee has debuted 17 titles on Hot Latin Songs, though, only three of them were solo tracks: “Dura,” “Hula Hoop” and “Shaky Shaky.” The latter song ruled for four non-consecutive weeks.

“Dura” follows the featured act on Romeo Santos‘ “Bella y Sensual” with Nicky Jam which held five weeks in the top 10 on the chart. The track earns Romeo Santos his 15th top 10 and Nicky Jam his 11th.
