Goldenvoice has announced its annual calendar of Coachella sideshows in Southern California for the weeks surrounding the promoter's marquee festival. Now in its sixth year, Goldenvoice Presents April offers fans the unique opportunity to see their favorite artists at more intimate settings throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Barbara, Pomona, Palm Springs and Indio.
This year's calendar includes intimate shows for Mac Demarco at The Echo, The 1975 with Pale Waves and No Rome at Santa Barbara Bowl, Chvrches at Pappy & Harriet’s, Jaden Smith at the Shrine Expo Hall, Charlotte Gainsbourg at the El Rey and The Frights at the Glass House. Even headliner Tame Impala is getting in on the action, with a scheduled performance at the under-2,000-capacity Fox Theater in Pomona.
Playboi Carti will also perform at the Fox Theatre in Pomona on April 17 with Pusha T playing the Novo on April 15. Hop Along and Soccer Mommy will co-headline the El Rey on April 16 and Superorganism will hit The Roxy on April 19.
In a not-so-intimate side show, K-pop stars BlackPink will headline a performance at the more than 17,000-capacity Forum on April 17.
Participating venues include The Roxy Theatre, El Rey Theatre, Fonda Theatre, The Theatre at Ace Hotel, The Novo, Shrine Expo Hall, The Glass House, The Greek Theatre, The Forum, The Echo, Fox Theater Pomona, Santa Barbara Bowl, Chain Reaction, Pappy & Harriet’s, Zebulon, Marty’s On Newport and The Yost Theater.
