Fortress Festival has revealed the full lineup for its April 27-28 event in Fort Worth, Texas, announcing that Scottish synth-pop trio Chrvches has been added to the lineup, marking their first show in the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 2015. Also added to the lineup is Rae Sremmurd, the chart-topping rap duo behind “Black Beatles,” “No Type” and “Swang,” who released their third studio project, SR3MM, this past May. Also on the lineup is pop and R&B artist Tinashe, London-based electronic-pop collective Superorganism, and Texas acts Khruangbin, tropical-fusion duo Gio Chamba and Blackillac a brand-new rap group from Austin that features production led by Gary Clark Jr.
Fortress Festival is presented in partnership with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and will take place in the Cultural District of Fort Worth on the lawn adjacent to Will Rogers Coliseum. Two-day GA tickets are now on sale for $109, while two-day VIP passes are $229 — both GA and VIP passes include free access to the Modern Art Museum, with special late-night access.
Fortress Festival is independently produced by Fortress Presents, a Fort Worth-based production and promotions company founded in 2016 by North Texas natives Alec Jhangiani and Ramtin Nikzad, who helped establish the Lone Star Film Festival and the Lone Star Film Society in Fort Worth.
2019 will mark the third annual Fortress Festival, which in its first two years drew 20,000 total attendees, combining world-class touring acts with homegrown Texas musicians. Learn more at FortressFestival.com.
