Christian Nodal Notches Third No. 1 on Regional Mexican Songs Chart

Christian Nodal secures the third No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Songs airplay chart, as "Me Dejé Llevar" bumps 2-1 (list dated March 10).

Christian Nodal secures the third No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Songs airplay chart, as “Me Dejé Llevar” bumps 2-1 (list dated March 10). The song crowns in its 17th week, pulling 11.26 million in audience (up 12 percent) in the week ending March 4, according to Nielsen Music.

Nodal goes three-for-three on the chart, as his latest No. 1 is his third chart-topper of three total entries. He also topped the list with “Probablemente,” featuring David Bisbal, which reigned for four weeks and his debut single, “Adios Amor,” for seven, both in 2017. All three songs are on his debut studio album, Me Dejé Llevar, which holds firm at No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart for a 22nd nonconsecutive week.

The set is tied with Selena’s All My Hits — Todos Mis Exitos, for the third-most weeks at No. 1 in the 33-year history of the list. Ahead of them: Joan Sebastian’s Con Tambora (with 23) and Selena’s Amor Prohibido, with 97.

“It is a blessing to make music from the heart and see that people identify and feel the song to such a degree to reach these results,” Nodal tells Billboard. “It was always my dream to be on the radio and the fact that a song of mine reaches people’s hearts makes it even more special.”

“Me Dejé” also earns Nodal his third top 10 on the Latin Airplay chart, as it grows 13-8 on the tally.

Elsewhere on Hot Latin Songs (which blends airplay, sales, and streams), Bad Bunny scores his sixth top 10 with “Amorfoda,” as the song ascends 11-10 in its second week on the list. It rises despite an overall decline in chart points, down in both streams and sales (falling 6 percent and 39 percent, respectively). It had no monitored airplay in the week ending March 4.

“Amorfoda” is Bad Bunny’s second top 10 of 2018, following his featured turn on Enrique Iglesias’ “El Baño” (No. 8; Jan. 27).

Lastly, Ricky Martin is back on Hot Latin Songs with his 47th entry, “Fiebre,” featuring Wisin & Yandel, debuting at No. 27. The song bows at No. 28 on Latin Airplay with 6 million in audience (up 285 percent from only a few days of airplay the previous tracking period; the song premiered Feb. 23), No. 3 on Latin Digital Song Sales (4,000 sold), and collected 911,000 streams.
