The band scores its eighth leader, doubling the sum of the group with the next-best total, Boyz II Men (four). Among all acts, Maroon 5 ranks fourth, trailing only Katy Perry and Rihanna (11 each) and P!nk (nine).

Goulding earns her fourth No. 1 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, following “Lights” (2012), “Burn” (2014) and “Outside” (by Calvin Harris, on which she’s featured), which is dethroned after six weeks. Goulding becomes the first artist to supplant herself with a new No. 1 in the chart’s nearly 12-year history.

The group previously reigned with “Little Lion Man” (2010) and “I Will Wait” (2012). “Believe,” the first single from Wilder Mind, due May 4, makes the fastest flight to the chart’s summit in nearly four years: Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie” hit No. 1 in its fourth frame in August 2011.
