Katy Perry and P!nk follow with eight leaders apiece. “Animals” is also Maroon 5’s record-extending seventh No. 1 in-a-row (counting only singles officially promoted to radio). Its active streak began with “Moves Like Jagger” (featuring Christina Aguilera) in 2011. The group first led with “This Love” in 2004.
