Pop Songs
*** No. 1 (1 week)*** “Love Me Like You Do” Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding notches her second No. 1 on Billboard‘s Pop Songs radio airplay chart, as “Love Me Like You Do” rises 2-1. She first reigned with her debut hit, “Lights,” in 2012. The song went on to become the top title of 2012 on Pop Songs.
Meanwhile, another Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack single crowns a Billboard chart: The Weeknd’s “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” tops Rhythmic Songs (see below). It also leads R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay for a second week. The Weeknd scores his second Rhythmic Songs No. 1, following “Love Me Harder” (with Ariana Grande), which led for five weeks earlier this year.

Sam Hunt sends “Take Your Time” 2-1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart. Hunt is the first act to top the chart on his first two tries (counting only promoted singles) in nearly two years. Florida Georgia Line led for three weeks in December 2012 with “Cruise” and followed with a two-week reign for “Get Your Shine On” in May 2013. The pair extended its streak to a record-tying four career-opening No. 1s, tying the mark that Brooks & Dunn first established in 1991-92.
Hunt is the first solo male to go two-for-two atop the chart since Brantley Gilbert arrived with the No. 1s “Country Must Be Country Wide” (December 2011) and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” (July 2012).
