Carrie Underwood Postpones Toronto Date Due to NBA Finals

Underwood was slated to play Scotiabank Arena on June 9.

Carrie Underwood became the second casualty of the Toronto Raptors’ good fortune on Tuesday (May 28) when she was forced to postpone her planned June 9 Cry Pretty Tour show due to the NBA team’s upcoming run in the finals. “Due to the Raptors advancing to the NBA Finals & the technical set up requirements of the league, the Carrie Underwood concert on June 9, 2019 will be rescheduled to a later date still to be announced,” Scotiabank Arena tweeted.

The news came a day after Twenty One Pilots had to cancel their planned second show — originally slated for tonight, May 29 — at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto for the same reasons. While Underwood plans to reschedule, 21P offered to help fans try to find tickets for Tuesday night’s show.
