Carly Rae Jepsen Charts With ‘Fuller House’ Theme
The song that made its debut in 1987 hits a Billboard ranking at last.
With the reboot of Full House has come the show’s opening theme, too.
And, more than 28 years after its first airing, the catchy song is finally a Billboard chart hit.
The family-friendly sitcom, which aired on ABC in 1987-95, returned on Netflix as second-generation Fuller House Feb. 26. The original series’ theme, “Everywhere You Look,” was written by show co-creator Jeff Franklin, Bennett Salvay and Jesse Frederick, the lattermost of whom performed it.

Now, for the first time, the composition appears on a Billboard songs ranking, as Carly Rae Jepsen‘s cover (subtitled “The Fuller House Theme”) debuts on Pop Digital Songs at No. 44, bowing with 10,000 downloads sold in the week ending March 3, according to Nielsen Music. The updated “Look” was produced by Butch Walker, who has worked with, among others, Fall Out Boy, Taylor Swift and Train.

“Everywhere You Look” joins a rich history of TV themes that have reached Billboard charts. Prior charted tube tunes include the themes to Batman, The Dukes of Hazzard, Miami Vice, Friends and Hannah Montana. 2016 also marks the third straight year that a TV theme has hit a Billboard tally, following songs from Orange Is the New Black in 2014 and The Ellen DeGeneres Show last year.
