Camila Cabello and Her Fans Go Crazy Over News of Debut Album ‘Camila’ Topping Billboard 200

The Camilizers are ecstatic over 'Camila' going No. 1.

Camila Cabello‘s breakout solo career has extended into the new year, and after releasing Camila on Jan. 12, the Cuban sensation continues to maintain a strong grasp on the pop spotlight. Camila season is in full effect, and of course, the fans are here for it.

As the Billboard charts for the week ending Jan. 18 came in, Camila claimed the top spot selling 119,000 equivalent album units with 65,000 in traditional album sales. The “Real Friends” singers’ faithful Camilizers were ecstatic over the news, flooding social media with praise for the 20-year-old’s debut album.

Camila is the first Billboard 200 topping album by a woman in three years since Meghan Trainor’Title hit the top spot in 2015. Cabello herself couldn’t contain her excitement and took to social media to freak out (“I’M CRYING ON THE STREET,” she wrote), and her proud fans followed suit.
