The South Korean septet returns to No. 1 thanks to the continued success of its singles “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.” The former spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 beginning in June, while the latter spent a week at the summit in July.
The coronation is also aided by a pair of albums on the Billboard 200: BTS, The Best and Map of the Soul : 7.
Dating to the Artist 100’s inception, only three acts have spent more time at No. 1 than BTS: Taylor Swift (48 weeks), Drake (32) and The Weeknd (22).
