Britney Spears’ Piece of Me Vegas Residency Final Figures: 248 Shows, 916,184 Tickets Sold, $137.7M Earned

The final shows of Britney Spears' Piece of Me residency have been reported to Billboard. The long-running show sold 916,184 tickets and grossed $137.7 million.

Britney Spears announced Tuesday (Jan. 23) that she’s taking her Piece of Me show on the road, but it all started in Las Vegas.

With a final run of four shows in late December, Spears completed her residency at the Axis at Planet Hollywood in Vegas with a New Year’s Eve finale. Dubbed Britney: Piece of Me, the production played 248 ticketed shows during a four-year run of the show that began on Dec. 27, 2013. Final ticket sales figures, reported by event producer Caesars Entertainment, show an overall gross of $137,695,392 for the run, based on a total of 916,184 sold seats.

Spears’ residency was the first production in the newly refurbished Axis theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort in 2013. The performance space was closed for over a year prior to the debut for a $20 million renovation to accommodate the show. During the run, the pop star revamped the concert production from time to time including adding new material in the summer of 2016 to coincide with the release of her ninth studio album Glory.

The residency encountered few obstructions during its span. Three performances had to be canceled due to a 2015 ankle injury, and a couple of shows had to be rescheduled, but generally the show continued uninterrupted during its four-year run. Even following the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Oct. 1, 2017, Spears announced that her show would continue as planned just 10 days later, tweeting, “We’ll get through this together. See you Wednesday #VegasStrong.”
