For the first time since Billboard’s Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart launched in June 2020, a song released in the 2000s or later hits No. 1.
Bring Me the Horizon’s “Can You Feel My Heart” vaults 7-1 on the ranking dated Jan. 30 with 3.9 million U.S. streams, up 34%, according to MRC Data.
Originally released via 2013 album Sempiternal, “Heart” has culled recent favor after going viral on TikTok.
During its initial run, the song peaked at No. 26 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay list dated Aug. 30, 2014.
Its predecessors at No. 1 on Hard Rock Streaming Songs are largely classics, with Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” boasting the most frames atop the tally thus far at 21 weeks. Previously, the newest song to top the tally was Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” which reigned for five weeks in December 2020-January 2021. The holiday standard was initially released in 1996.
“Heart” is Bring Me the Horizon’s second Hard Rock Streaming Songs appearance, following the No. 18 peak of “Parasite Eve” in July 2020.
