Black History Month: 14 First-Time No. 1 Acts on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart Under 30

Billboard shouts out musical upstarts under 30 who have already notched their first No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart as the lead artists on a track over the past six years.

Between Beyoncé‘s baby news and President Donald Trump’s two-week-old administration, the Internet has been an emotional wreck. Luckily, February offers an opportunity for light and reflection with Black History Month, as African-Americans who were and continue to be pioneers in their respective fields are remembered and celebrated.
