In just that one day, the last of the latest Hot 100’s streaming and sales tracking week, the song tallied 3.1 million U.S. streams and sold 5,000 downloads, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. It also drew 11.7 million radio airplay audience impressions in its first four days, as the Hot 100’s airplay tracking week ended Nov. 15.
The track, released on Darkroom/Interscope Records, concurrently debuts at No. 5 on both the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs charts, which use the same methodology as the Hot 100. It also enters three radio format rankings, at No. 20 on Alternative Airplay, No. 31 on Pop Songs and No. 39 on Adult Pop Songs.
“Therefore I Am” earns Eilish her 20th total Hot 100 hit and third to arrive on the chart this year, after her James Bond theme “No Time to Die” (No. 16 peak in February) and “My Future” (No. 6, August). She boasts three total top 10s, including last year’s No. 1 “Bad Guy.”
Echoing the bulk of her Hot 100 entries, Eilish wrote her latest with Finneas, her brother, who also sports sole production credit.
“Therefore I Am” is likely to make further inroads on next week’s charts (dated Nov. 28) after its first full week of tracking.
